The Process Of Cladding Spraying:

Preparation is key for the best long lasting finish.

Firstly, we prepare surfaces via pressure washing surfaces with a cleaner/degreaser additive to remove all dirt and debris and other contaminants such as salts, mould and algea.

Secondly, we prepare the surfaces by sanding all loose flaking materials and key all the surfaces ready for a zinc phosphate primer to enhance protection against corrosion prior to application of any top coats.

Cladding Rust Treatment:

We treat Any/all rust spots with a direct to rust product called rustoleum rust stop, this holds back the rust for a long period of time and stops rust from spreading further.

One the surfaces are spot primed with rustoleum and primed ready for top coats, we have a couple of options for your top coats.

Top Coat Cladding Paints:

One being a quick drying water based Johnstone’s cladding paint which is an environmentally friendly option.

The other being a solvent based Johnstone’s cladding paint which is oil based that is not so environmentally friendly.

Masking Up For Cladding Spraying:

All areas that are not to be painted would be masked neat and tidy to eliminate any overspray and create perfect lines.

In most cases masking up involves masking the windows and doors, lower brickwork, guttering, drainpipes and any other parts that may require masking.

Cladding Spray Paint Finishes:

Both water based and oil based products offer a semi-gloss or satin finish.

Life Expectancy Of Cladding Paint:

Both water and oil based products offer 15-years protection against all weathers, UV Resistant prevents fading.
